Hail Mary was really full of grace on this day because I legit thought I was being abducted by aliens! 👽🛸✌🏾

Hello, My Brilliant & Beautiful Community,

I hope you’re doing well and finding your way through all the craziness in the world.

It’s spring here in Africa, and I couldn’t be happier! Spring is a season of transition, renewal, and new beginnings — which feels particularly fitting for everything happening over here. I can’t prematurely say too much, but there are some exciting things in motion. Here are a few other things going on in our corner of the world:

Housekeeping: Thank you for all the feedback on the past few issues! I’ve done my best to incorporate your suggestions, so please keep them coming.

Pop-Ups: We’re getting ready to get back out there for our Africa pop-ups as the weather warms up. We’ll share dates and locations on our socials when we’re out with our market partners.

Holiday Season: We’re preparing for the holiday rush on both sides of the Atlantic. Our U.S. inventory is currently 50% off, so if you’re shopping for gifts, now is a great time to stock up!

Icons & Legacies: Last month, we lost three remarkable women: Cassandra Wilson, Dolly Parton, and Gloria Steinem. Their deaths made me think about the strange intimacy of parasocial relationships and how deeply people can impact us without ever knowing us personally. Their lives also reminded me of something simple: keep creating, keep speaking up, and keep standing for what matters to you. You never know who you might embolden generations later.

And here in Lesotho, I’m just grateful to be on the other side of winter. It was the kind of cold that felt like a polar bear’s side-eye, so I’m ecstatic to be thawing out! We’re making lots of beads, experimenting with new designs, and exploring what will work beautifully on both continents. It’s a fun season of building, creating, and figuring things out.

Whether you’re enjoying a pumpkin spice latte in America or a cold joala (beer) here in Lesotho, I hope you take some time to enjoy the season you’re in. Thank you for reading these letters, supporting my business, and following along on this journey. It means more than you'll ever know.

With deep gratitude and love,
